“President of International Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation attends TURKPA 11th Plenary Session”

President of the International Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation Gunay Afandiyeva has participated in the 11th Plenary Session of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic Speaking Countries (TURKPA) entitled “Parliamentary Diplomacy – the Basis of Trust and Partnership” held on June 24 in Cholpon-Ata, the Kyrgyz Republic.

The meeting was attended by the chairmen of the parliaments of TURKPA member states, deputies, heads and representatives of international organizations.

Speaking at the meeting, the President of the Foundation expressed confidence that trending issues concerning the future of the Turkic world will be discussed and important decisions will be made at this session. Referring to the partnership between the Foundation and TURKPA, Gunay Afandiyeva noted that the two international Turkic organizations have always stood by each other.

Speaking about the importance of strengthening cooperation in the field of preserving the ancient heritage of the Turkic peoples and its healthy transmission to younger generations, Gunay Afandiyeva noted that the Foundation is always ready to contribute towards these ties with joint projects.

Gunay Afandiyeva stressed that the events organized by the Foundation reflect the history, culture, and art of the Turkic world, and commemorate the literature, folklore, customs and traditions of the Turkic peoples. The President of the Foundation emphasized the importance of Turkic cooperation organizations uniting all efforts in the development of comprehensive cooperation, based on the trust placed by the heads of states.
