Historic Day for Saudi Cricket: Fifer Tournament on Youm Al-Watani.

Riyadh (Syed Mussarat Khalil) — In celebration of Saudi Arabia’s 94th National Day, the Riyadh Cricket League (RCL) hosted a spectacular Fifer Tournament, bringing together top teams from across the region. This exciting two-day event, held over 15 matches, featured competitive games with teams hailing from Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, and Kuwait, showcasing the growing cricket talent in the region.

The participating teams included Al Qassim (AQCL), Bahrain, the Eastern Region Cricket Association (ERCA), and Kuwait, with the matches drawing considerable attention from fans. The high-stakes tournament saw these teams compete in a best-of-three format:

Liyan Gulf Stars vs. Al Qassim
Hexaware Stars vs. Kuwait Team
Smart Shopping vs. Bahrain Team
Shining Tour vs. ERCA 2
APTEC vs. ERCA 1

RCL teams claimed victory in four out of five leagues, demonstrating their dominance and further establishing cricket’s strong presence in Saudi Arabia. This tournament not only celebrated the sport but also fostered a sense of unity and pride, drawing players and fans from various cities and countries.

RCL extended special thanks to its sponsors, including Liyan Gulf, Hexaware, APTEC, Shining Tour, and Smart Shopping, whose support made this tournament a resounding success. Additional gratitude was expressed towards Spice Master and Today’s Bite Restaurant for their generous contributions.
