After last year’s tournament witnessed a huge turnout and remarkable success in its first edition in Saudi Arabia, Red Bull Four 2 Score is back again for its second year with Red Bull Mobile.
From May 24 and June 7, the exciting tournament opens the door to competitions for 4v4 teams, who will battle it out in the local qualifiers and later move on to the national final, with the aim of winning an all-inclusive trip to the world final, held in Germany later this year.
In partnership with Red Bull Mobile, the Ministry of Sports, the Sports for All Federation, and Subway, the unique tournament will take place across three Saudi cities. The qualifiers will be held in five stages in the capital, Riyadh, and the Bride of the Red Sea, Jeddah, between May 24 and June 1, with the national final being held in Abha on June 7.
The rules and concept of the tournament are designed to allow participants to experience Red Bull’s unique “power football” philosophy firsthand. In the first and last 60 seconds of the 10-minute matches, teams of 4 and 1 substitute get to have their goals doubled. There are no breaks or goalies, just the need to score when it matters! Both male and female players between the ages of 16 and 35 can participate in the tournament.
As for the format, it’s straightforward yet intense. The tournament consists of three stages: Group stage, Knockout stage, and Final. In the group stage, winning teams earn three points, while ties result in both teams receiving one point each. The knockout stage introduces a “Golden Goal” scenario if the score is tied after 10 minutes, determining the team that advances to the next round.
In addition to the fun and suspenseful atmosphere, the teams will participate in the matches with their sights set on winning the national title in the Abha final in both the female and male categories. The two winning teams will have the honor of representing the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia alongside other international teams at the world final, hosted in RB Leipzig, and will battle it out to win the coveted title of Red Bull Four 2 Score World Champions.
