Hyundai Motor Celebrates 100 Million Vehicle Production Milestone with ‘One Step Further’ Exhibition.

Dubai – Hyundai Motor Company has reached a monumental achievement, producing 100 million vehicles worldwide, which it is celebrating with the launch of the ‘One Step Further’ exhibition at Hyundai Motorstudio Seoul. This grand showcase honors the driving forces behind Hyundai’s success and extends gratitude to its customers for their unwavering support throughout the years.

The exhibition follows Hyundai Motor’s celebration at its Ulsan Plant, held on September 30, where the company delivered its 100 millionth vehicle—an IONIQ 5—to a new owner, symbolizing appreciation for the brand’s loyal customers.

Sungwon Jee, Senior Vice President and Global Chief Marketing Officer at Hyundai Motor Company, highlighted the complexity of this milestone: “It takes thousands of parts and pieces to build a car, with the combined efforts of millions of people involved in R&D, design, and manufacturing over many years. We wanted to shed light on these behind-the-scenes efforts and tell the story of Hyundai Motor’s transformation from a traditional automaker to a leading smart mobility solutions provider.”

Exhibition Highlights Hyundai’s Journey
The exhibition, spanning five floors, takes visitors on a journey through Hyundai’s incredible history. It begins with the Cortina Mark 2, Hyundai’s first production model, and the Pony, the company’s first independently developed vehicle.

The second floor of the exhibition offers a retrospective look at how Hyundai Motor has positively impacted its customers’ lives. It features key moments from the company’s major plants, showcasing the evolution of production processes.

The third floor focuses on three iconic models that propelled Hyundai toward its 100-million-unit milestone: the first-generation SONATA, the first-generation ELANTRA, and the Scoupe. These vehicles represent Hyundai’s drive to go “one step further” in design, production, and engineering. The SONATA highlighted Hyundai’s craftsmanship, the ELANTRA laid the foundation for large-scale automated production, and the Scoupe pioneered the sports car segment in Korea.

Looking Toward the Future
The fourth and fifth floors of the exhibition feature Hyundai’s modern SUV lineup, including the SANTA FE, KONA, and INSTER, as well as its electric vehicle lineup, such as the IONIQ 5, IONIQ 5 N, and IONIQ 6. These exhibits reflect Hyundai Motor’s transformation from a traditional automaker into a provider of smart mobility solutions, signaling the company’s future direction.

Running from October 10 to November 10, the ‘One Step Further’ exhibition is a testament to Hyundai’s commitment to innovation, customer satisfaction, and sustainable growth. Admission is free for all visitors, offering a unique opportunity to explore Hyundai’s remarkable journey and its vision for the future.
