Governor Riyadh Prince Faisal Bin Bandar has inaugurated Cyber Security World Forum Edition 3 in the Saudi capital on Wednesday. The forum is being held under the theme ‘Shared Priorities in Cyberspace’.
According to news agency SP, Prince Faisal bin Bandar said that cyber security is an integral part of ‘Aqdar’. Changes in the cyber world have made strong collaboration inevitable.
He said that this year the Cyber Security Forum is taking place in such an environment while there are great changes in the field of Cyber Security around the world.
“These changes have made it imperative to intensify joint efforts and increase cooperation to address cyber security issues.”
Governor Riaz said that the participation of international experts, decision makers and cyber security scholars from around the world has doubled the importance of the forum.
He expressed the belief that the cyber security forum will present the essence of international experiences.
Cyber Security National Authority Governor Engineer Majid Al-Mazeed said that the forum is an international platform.
Participants meet annually to consider new areas of cooperation and seek to develop partnerships. Emphasis on utilizing emerging opportunities in this sector.
Saudi Minister of Education Yusuf Al-Banyan said that the importance of cyber security has also been increased by the fact that the current generation has been born in a digital environment.
He said that the scope of cyber security is not limited to security but it has become a part of every person’s daily life.
The Saudi Minister of Education said, “We have to focus on the preparation of cyber security curriculum.”
“More than 6.5 million students are studying in schools in the country while more than 5 million students are pursuing higher education in universities. This aspect is important to highlight the importance of cyber security.”
Aramco Chairman Amin Al Nasser said that Saudi Aramco is playing a key role in the lives of millions of people through energy supply.
Aramco has developed a cyber supply line protection program keeping in mind the cyber security standards.”
It should be noted that Cyber Security Forum Edition 3 will have more than 35 discussions.
