On 27th November 2023, Mr. Khalid Taimur Akram, Executive Director, Pakistan Research Center for a Community with Shared Future (PRCCSF) was invited as a keynote speaker in the International Conference on “Heydar Aliyev and the Economy of Azerbaijan,” held at the Baku Business Centre, Baku.
The conference was organized by the Economic Scientific Research Institute (ESRI) of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan. A conference dedicated to commemorating the crucial role Heydar Aliyev played in shaping the economic landscape of Azerbaijan, his initiatives, and his contribution to the economic and institutional reforms for achieving sustainable economic development in the country
The international conference was attended and participated in by high-profile special representatives, including Mikayil Jabbarov, First Deputy Minister of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan; Hasan Hasanov, Statesman of Azerbaijan (former Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan); experts from Azerbaijan; and foreign countries such as Moldova, Pakistan, Kuwait, Belarus, and Türkiye.
During the event, Khalid Taimur Akram eloquently asserted that Heydar Aliyev, as a National Leader, swiftly restored stability and laid the foundation for future development, emphasizing his commitment to national ideals and moral values. He praised Heydar Aliyev’s initiatives, ideas, and foreign policy, highlighting their alignment with the country’s national interests.
As the life of an exemplary Leader is deeply studied during the century, the reviewing of the socio-political processes that took place in Azerbaijan, and the historical significance and role of their results for the formation of national identity by the future generation has become a high priority.
President Ilham Aliyev, drawing inspiration from Heydar Aliyev’s political heritage, state traditions, and the will of the Azerbaijani people, successfully advanced the state’s development and realized the aspirations of the National Leader.
Participants engaged in discussions about Heydar Aliyev’s impactful contributions to the development and implementation of large-scale international economic projects, always in alignment with the national interests of Azerbaijan. Heydar Aliyev’s remained a proud source of national pride, recognized globally as a symbol of Azerbaijan.
