ISPR FLOOD UPDATE: Pakistan Army relief efforts continue in flood hit areas of various Distts of Pakistan.

Balochistan: In Othal 2300 individuals from 4 villages have been evacuated to safer places. Shelter and cooked meals are provided to the affected population. N-25 connecting Quetta – Karachi has been opened for traffic which was blocked at 4 different places due to the collapse of bridges. Telecommunication was restored in most of Balochistan particularly in Distt Lasbela in coordination with PTA.
467 % additional unprecedented rains from Jul 1 till date. 29 Distts of Balochistan have been affected due to recent rains/ flash floods particularly Lasbela, Kech, Quetta, Sibbi, Khuzdar and Kohlu. 3953 houses have been damaged.

5 medical camps were established in flood-hit areas of Balochistan including Hub, Gaddani, Bela and Duddar and Jhal Magsi Gawadar Army dewatering teams have cleared the Gawadar area. The Coastal highway blocked at Aghore has been opened for traffic.

Jhal Magsi: 4 Sorties of Army aviation helicopters operated delivering 1.3 tons of relief items including rations and medicines. No rain in the area – Water level considerably receded. Connectivity of Gandhawa has resumed with Jhal Magsi, and efforts are underway to resume connectivity on the other 2 roads. 200 individuals evacuated.

KHUZDAR: The water level is still high in the Mula River . Work on the connectivity of M-8 will be resumed by NHA after the water recedes General Officer Commanding at Khuzdar visited Bela and its surroundings to oversee relief efforts.

Chaman: Babe Dosti has been opened by dewatering teams as it remained closed due to inundation. *Lasbella * Telecom resumed.
Relief operation by Army, FC and Pakistan Cost Guard is underway. All 4 x locs on RCD opened for lt tfc only.

Zhob: Mobile Field Medical Camp was established by FC and Civil administration in Zhob. 1570 Patients were treated.

Kila Saifullah: Flash flooding occurred in Kila Saifullah.
Ziarat: Road Quetta -Ziarat blocked near Kawas Tangi Station due to heavy flooding has been opened.
*Quetta *: Floods were reported in Hanna and Nawa Kili. Rescue and relief teams are working on site.
Sindh: 58 dewatering teams were employed for dewatering in Karachi only. Gharo Grid Station at Thatta which was flooded with water has been cleared by Army dewatering teams. 300 individuals have been evacuated in Jamshoro The army established a relief camp At Jamshoro. M-9 was flooded at various places due to the overflow of Lath Dam. Dewatering teams along with heavy machinery were employed to clear the road. Ration and medicine are being provided to local people at Dadu and Khairpur.
GB: KKH and Jaglot- Skardu road have been kept open by FWO clearing multiple landslides.
Distt Ghizer was cut off due to flash flooding. Communication infrastructure opened. Food and medicines were provided to local residents
KP Distt Tank, Chitral and swabi were badly affected due to rains.
Road Chitral- Mastooj and Road Tank- Gomal Zam Dam opened for traffic.
Pakistan Army, Navy and FC/ Rangers troops are constantly assisting the civil administration and local communities in all flood-affected areas.
