by: TN Media News: Global Technology News Desk TCL Electronics, a global leader in consumer electronics and the world’s No. 2 TV brand, has claimed the top spot in three major television market segments, according to the latest data from market research firm Omdia.
The report highlights TCL’s continued dominance in the TV industry, earning Global No. 1 rankings in three key categories: 85-inch and above TVs, Mini LED TVs, and Google TVs.
In 2024, TCL led global shipments of ultra-large TVs (85 inches and above), capturing a commanding 22.1% market share. The brand also secured the top position in Mini LED TV shipments with a 28.8% global share, and has maintained its leadership in Google TV shipments for four consecutive years, from 2021 to 2024.
TCL’s remarkable performance reflects growing global demand for large-screen and high-performance TVs. As home entertainment continues to evolve, consumers are increasingly turning to larger, sharper, and more immersive screens. Omdia projects that global shipments of 80-inch and larger TVs will grow by 35% year-over-year, making up 7% of the overall display market in 2025, and potentially rising to 11% by 2030. Similarly, Mini LED TV shipments are expected to reach 9.3 million units by 2025, signaling a strong consumer preference for premium display technologies.
In response to this demand, TCL continues to invest in expanding its ultra-large TV portfolio, powered by advanced Mini LED technology. A trailblazer in the industry, TCL was the first to launch a Mini LED TV in 2019 and also pioneered mass production in this segment. Today, the brand continues to lead through its proprietary innovations, offering TVs with ultra-high peak brightness, contrast, color gamut, and extended durability, redefining the home viewing experience.
TCL’s rise is not only attributed to its hardware advancements but also its strategic partnerships—most notably with Google. By combining TCL’s cutting-edge displays with Google TV’s smart ecosystem, the company is delivering smarter, more connected, and healthier lifestyles to consumers around the globe.
With its eyes on the future, TCL remains committed to pushing the boundaries of TV technology, aiming to set new industry benchmarks in innovation, design, and user experience.
