The federal cabinet has formed a special committee of the cabinet to investigate the audios related to the diplomatic cypher, which will determine the legal action against former prime minister Imran Khan, his principal secretary Azam Khan and senior ministers.
According to the statement released after the cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Friday, a briefing was given to the cabinet on the issue of diplomatic cypher, in which it was revealed that a copy of the diplomatic cypher is missing from the records of the Prime Minister House.
The meeting was told that although there is a record of receipt of this cypher sent to the former prime minister in the Prime Minister House, its copy is not available in the record. According to the law, this copy is the property of the Prime Minister’s House.
The statement said that the meeting declared that theft of diplomatic cypher records is a serious matter. After a detailed consultation, the cabinet formed a special committee of the cabinet which will determine the legal action against all the involved roles, ex-prime minister, ex-principal secretary to the prime minister, and senior ministers. The cabinet committee will include the representatives of the coalition parties in the government, besides the ministers of the ministries of foreign affairs, interior, and law.
Later, Prime Minister House explained that the copy of the cypher had disappeared from Prime Minister House and the original cypher was in the Ministry of External Affairs. According to the Prime Minister House, the copy of the cypher was received by the then Principal Secretary Azam Khan at the Prime Minister House.
Earlier, the issue of audio leaks was discussed in detail in the cabinet meeting. The meeting endorsed the decision of the National Security Committee (NSC) to conduct a thorough investigation into the matter. However, grave concern was expressed that a diplomatic cypher has been given fictitious meanings to kill key national interests for the sake of political interests and stolen after fraud, forgery and fabrication. This is a serious violation of the constitutional oath, and other relevant laws and regulations, especially the Official Secrets Act.
In the cabinet meeting, Information and Broadcasting Minister Ms. Maryam Aurangzeb was strongly condemned for harassment and mobbing and chasing by PTI workers in London. It should be noted that so far two alleged videos of Imran Khan have come out in which he is talking to his Principal Secretary Azam Khan, Shah Mehmood Qureshi and Asad Umar about the American cypher.
Meanwhile, the Federal Cabinet, on the recommendation of the Ministry of Law and Justice, filed an explanatory reference by the President of Pakistan on the recommendation of the Prime Minister regarding the previous decision of the Supreme Court regarding the construction of the Recodek project of the Federal Government and Balochistan Government. Approved.
Apart from this, the cabinet has also approved the inclusion of 12 names in the ECL and the delisting of three. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has also criticized former Prime Minister and Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Imran Khan regarding the cypher.
In a tweet, Shehbaz Sharif said, “The former prime minister, knowing that it would harm Pakistan’s national interest, along with his cronies broke the normal diplomatic cypher for his own selfish political purposes.” Twisted
He further said that his conscience did not blame Imran Khan for harming Pakistan by sitting in the Prime Minister’s House.
