TN Media News Riyadh, Saudi Arabia:
Cultural Horror Redefined with Advanced Graphics: Aunt Fatima, a Saudi indie horror game created by Abdullah Al Hamad, is gaining global recognition for its chilling narrative and technical excellence. Developed using NVIDIA’s RTX platform, the game blends local folklore with cutting-edge technology, offering a terrifying and immersive experience.
Set in a traditional Saudi home, the game transforms familiar settings into eerie nightmares. It topped YouTube Gaming’s trending list and won accolades for Best Saudi Game and Best Arab Game.
A Solo Vision, Technically Realized: Built in just six months by a single developer, the game demonstrates the potential of RTX-powered development.
“Every puzzle and horror detail was carefully designed,” said Abdullah. “Thanks to DLSS, the game looks stunning and runs smoothly even on modest systems.”
Using DLSS 4 with Multi-Frame Generation, Ray Reconstruction, and RTX Video Super Resolution, the game delivers enhanced lighting, cleaner visuals, and high performance without overwhelming GPUs.
From Content Creator to Game Developer: Abdullah started as a content creator, later exploring game development tutorials. Inspired by traditional Saudi homes, he conducted field visits to accurately recreate textures and layouts. These real-world elements were fused with suspenseful gameplay, giving the game its authentic atmosphere.
He recently discussed this creative journey in an exclusive interview with tech influencer Cambotar, offering insights into his process and cultural inspirations.
Industry Recognition and Regional Impact: After the game’s viral success, Abdullah was invited to NVIDIA Studio Nights III in Riyadh. The event marked his entry into the MENA game development community, where the game received widespread praise.
“Studio Nights opened unexpected doors,” he shared. “Now, techniques from Aunt Fatima are being taught in regional game academies.”
Supporting the Next Generation: Abdullah encourages indie developers in the Middle East and North Africa to adopt NVIDIA RTX tools.
“DLSS balances quality and performance. It’s free to implement and ideal for small teams with big visions,” he advised.
Although a sequel to Aunt Fatima has not been confirmed, Abdullah hinted at new projects in development. His future work aims to continue amplifying Arab voices in the global gaming scene.
