In an attempt to convince angry Nawaz Sharif, petrol was 12 rupees cheaper.

The government of Pakistan has announced a reduction in the prices of petroleum products, after which the price of petrol has decreased by Rs 12.63 to Rs 224.80 per litre. The shortage of petroleum products was announced by Finance Minister Ishaq Dar and according to his announcement, the price of diesel has also decreased by Rs 12.13 per litre.

Ishaq Dar was sworn in as the finance minister on Wednesday this week after the resignation of Miftah Ismail. Social media users are also voicing their opinion after the price of petroleum products fell. Umar Farooq wrote in a tweet, “Why was Muftah Ismail unable to reduce the prices?”

A few weeks ago, when the then Finance Minister Miftah Ismail announced to increase in the price of petrol, a tweet by Maryam Nawaz said that London-based former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was angry and left the meeting were gone.

It has been many weeks but some people still remember Maryam Nawaz’s tweet. On Twitter, a humorous account called Broken News pointed to this and wrote, “Trying to convince angry Nawaz Sharif, petrol 12 rupees cheaper.
