Elite Literature Society organized the February Session of its literature program, Elite Literary Prism(Report by Javeria Asad)

Elite Literature Society, a literary branch of the Elite Club Saudi Arabia, organized a monthly session entitled Elite Literary Prism to promote various genres of literature. This session is arranged for the third Saturday of each month. The session was held online on February 19, 2022, so that people of all ages, interested in literature from all over the world, could benefit.

The program is organized into different sections including books reviews, speech writing, table topics, art, painting, current affairs topics, storytelling and elite mentor talk.
The session was moderated by RJ Fawad, in his unique and sparkling style and Faiz Ali Hassan, the club coordinator. The theme of the session was Social Justice and Equality. Books reviews were expertly presented by Javeria Asad and Romaisa Anwar. Books of the month were The untethered soul by Micheal Singer and Great Expectations by Charles Dickens.

In the segment of the spotlight, the topic was related to the International Day of Social Justice and equality. The segment was introduced by the founder of the society and the club, Javeria Asad. On February 20th of every year, the World Day of Social Justice is celebrated. The celebration reflects on guaranteeing fair outcomes for all through employment, social protection, social dialogue, and fundamental principles and rights at work. She also mentioned that this year the theme of the day is “ACHIEVING SOCIAL JUSTICE

THROUGH FORMAL EMPLOYMENT”.
Faiz Ali Hassan and Zainab Zafar gave comprehensive presentations on the subject topic related to bullying and schoolmates’ attitudes with each other.

The guest speaker psychologist and trainer Misbah Khan was invited to the segment of Elite Mentor Talk. She mentioned that women being half population of the world should be given equal opportunities on every platform to grow and prosper. Table topics were based on the theme, President of the Society Prof. Waheed Aslam, Vice President Education Rubina Shaheen, Zainab Minhas and Arisha Amir participated as speakers.

Guest poet Sadaf Raza shared beautiful poems and verses from her books and received praise from the audience. In the storytelling session, Arisha Aamir, Zahra Minhas and Muntaha Anwar entertained the audience with their own written interesting stories. In her concluding remarks, the founder of the society Javeria Asad thanked all the guests and said, Elite Literary Prism is becoming equally popular among children and adults and this is a progressive step in establishing a new relationship of literature and books with the community. In the future, Elite Club KSA will continue to organize various programs for the community in the social, educational and literary fields.

At the end of the session, honouring certificates were presented to all the participants.
