Flag-hoisting ceremony held at the Embassy of Pakistan Riyadh Saudi Arabia

“We have to use collective efforts to ensure the development and prosperity of a united Pakistan”

RIYADH: On the joyous occasion of the 75th Independence Day of Pakistan in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, a flag hoisting ceremony was held at the Embassy of Pakistan where men, women and children of the Pakistani community including the thee contingents of Pakistan armed forces also participated in the ceremony. The ceremony of participation officially started with the recitation of the Holy Qur’an.

Tauseef Khawar, an officer of the Embassy of Pakistan, was the master of the ceremony and greeted the guests at the event. Later, the Ambassador of Pakistan, Amir Khurram Rathore, raised the green crescent flag in the air to the tune of the national anthem. Delivering his speech to the participants, the ambassador said: “On August 14, we made our determination according to the ideals of the founder of Pakistan, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and the thoughts of Dr. Allama Muhammad Iqbal. Today we have to use collective efforts to ensure the development and prosperity of a united Pakistan.”

He further added that “We pay tribute to all the martyrs of the freedom movement including Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.

Those who sacrificed their lives for our better future, today we have to stand in the ranks of developed countries promoting mutual brotherhood and unity.

In the ceremony, the message of the President of Pakistan Arif Alvi was read out by Mohsin Saifullah, the officer of the Embassy of Pakistan, while the message of the Prime Minister of Pakistan Mian Shahbaz Sharif was read out by Ayman Nadeem.
