On April 25, 2024, Mr. Khalid Taimur Akram, a notable figure in diplomatic circles, embarked on a significant visit to the Communication University of China (CUC) in Beijing. The purpose of his visit was to strengthen ties and explore avenues for collaborative efforts between the university and the Pakistan Research Center for a Community with Shared Future (PRCCSF).
Upon his arrival, Mr. Akram was warmly welcomed by Professor Li Huailiang, the Dean of the Institute for a Community with Shared Future (ICSF) at CUC. The meeting gathered key figures from both institutions, including Professor Zhang Yanqiu, Deputy Dean of ICSF and Director of the Africa Communication Research Centre; Professor Wang Sixin, Deputy Dean of ICSF; Professor Wen Chunying, Deputy Dean of ICSF and Dean of the School of International Studies; along with other esteemed members such as Ms. Sun Yuhong, Ms. Li Zhe, Dr. Zhong Wanchu, Dr. Zhang Suqiu, Professor Liu Fenghai, and Dr. Ge Yanling.
The discussions during the meeting revolved around the pivotal role of PRCCSF in promoting regional connectivity and fostering cooperation. Participants acknowledged the center’s efforts in promoting economic integration and cultural exchange, which have contributed significantly to the progress and prosperity of the region. Furthermore, potential future research projects were explored, and collaborative efforts were initiated to advance knowledge and cooperation across various academic sectors.
The attendees expressed appreciation for Mr. Khalid Taimur Akram’s advocacy of the concept of a community with a shared future, as outlined by President Xi Jinping.
