At Al-Suwaidi Park, Riyadh Season has brought to life the diverse cultures and traditions of countries worldwide, including Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, the Philippines, Sudan, and more. Part of the “Global Harmony” initiative launched by the Ministry of Media, this showcase aims to foster cross-cultural understanding and unity.
Pakistani Week, a vibrant highlight of Riyadh Season, ran from October 30 to November 2, transforming the park with the colors, sounds, and spirit of Pakistani culture. The event featured renowned Pakistani artists performing traditional music, mesmerizing dance, and dynamic live shows. Bands like Khumariyaan and The Stunners, alongside local singer Nayeem Sindhi, lit up the stage with their energy. Celebrated singers Ali Zafar and Asim Azhar delivered crowd-pleasing performances, adding unforgettable moments to the festivities.
A large and diverse audience of Pakistanis, Saudis, and expatriates gathered to celebrate and immerse themselves in Pakistani heritage. Cricket stars Shoaib Malik, Shadab Khan, and Sarfaraz Ahmed attended, mingling with fans and enhancing the festive atmosphere. Students from Pakistan International School in Riyadh also performed traditional dances, delighting the crowd with their talent.
Organizers highlighted the significance of community involvement, encouraging the Pakistani community to proudly share their cultural roots. Attendees expressed gratitude to the Saudi leadership for supporting such a meaningful event. Pakistan’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Ahmed Farooq, attended as a special guest, commending the efforts of Riyadh Season’s organizers and showing his support for the artists.
The event’s success was the result of hard work by team members Talha Abdul Ghafoor, Sehar Talha, Arwa Talal, Farah Naz, and Madiha Noman. Riyadh Season continues to celebrate global cultures, with more country showcases yet to come.
