Syeda Numera Mohsin, President, POC Global Women’s Department, Saudi Arabia organized a colorful Ramadan Mela at Marhaba Golden Hotel Al Khobar.

The event was planned for the women and children of the Sharqiya region. On the evening of March 18, 2023, a colourful Ramadan Mela was organized for the international community of the Sharqiya region by Syeda Numera Mohsin, President of POC Global Women’s Division. Certificates of honour and gifts were also distributed among children and women. President of Overseas Community, a well-known journalist and prominent social personality Imtiaz Ahmed was the chief guest of the event.

Appreciating the services of women in his address, he congratulated the Women’s Department for organizing the event and provided information about the many things Pakistan Overseas Community Global does for the community. He supported various constructive social activities and urged them to be conducted more frequently as it’s for allowing housewives to experience and attain business opportunities.

Syeda Numera Mohsin, President of the Women’s Department, who is a psychologist and has been working for overseas Pakistanis for quite some time, highlighted the importance of women’s financial independence, proper training and opportunities for higher intellectual and social development in her inaugural address. She gave the example of Prophet Muhammad SAW‘s wives, who had unparalleled character and urged them to make them their role models. Ghulam Murtaza Sahib from Marhaba Hotel participated in the event and announced 20% savings for all attendees.

Women and children enthusiastically set up beautifully decorated stalls. Hundreds of people from Dammam, Al-Khobar, Dahran and Jubail participated in this festival. Students from International Schools Group, Al Majd international, Pakistan Embassy School, New World and several other schools served a variety of food and tea. Their participation was shown by their enthusiasm.

This beautiful event continued from 03:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Some special competitions for women and children were also part of the programme. The ceremony started with the recitation of the Holy Quran. Which was achieved by Syed Abdul Ahad, a student of Al Majd International School. Syeda Hamda, Syeda Hamna, Hamza, and Azaan, won positions in various competitions.

The national anthems of Saudi Arabia and Pakistan were played at the start. The ceremony was hosted by the talented businesswoman Zunaira Zulnoon. In the event, the best stall category was won by Atiya, Nirmal Zohaib from Anmol Cosmetics and Fatima Zulnoon from American School.

A free medical camp was set up by POCG in which Vice President Dr. Sidra Azam participated. Nutritionist Shazia Badiuzzaman also participated in her nutrition stall and raised awareness about the harmful effects of obesity. In Addition to that speech contests and various tableaus were performed by the children including recitation and recitation of the holy Quran and Naat. In relevance to the Pakistan Resolution and Saudi Foundation Day, many students participated in the performances. Alshbah Imtiaz, Muhammad Umar Imtiaz and Hasan Imtiaz who are also children of President Imtiaz Ahmed volunteered their services.

Hafiza Benish Fatima and Nazish played a vital role in organizing this program. The atmosphere was heavy with the aroma of henna, Pakistani music, and delicious food. Beautiful jewellery and bright dresses captured the attention of visitors. With shining faces and loving hearts, a new history of global brotherhood was created.

Remember that POC Global is the only organized organization in Pakistan which is working for the education and training of women. POCG believes in empowering women, and by bringing such opportunities they will be able to explore new chapters in their creativity.
