On 23 March 2022, Ambassador of Pakistan to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Mr. Ameer Khurram Rathore welcomed a large group of Pakistani community members to a flag hoisting ceremony held at the Embassy of Pakistan in Riyadh.
The ceremony celebrated the 82nd National Day of Pakistan along with the 75 years of Independence. The community participated with great enthusiasm in the ceremony, which started with the Pakistani flag by Ambassador Ameer Khurram Rathore. After recitation of the Holy Quran, the Messages from the President of Pakistan Dr. Arif Alvi and the Prime Minister of Pakistan Mr. Imran Khan were read out by the officers of the Embassy.
In his address to the community, Ambassador Rathore highlighted the significance of the historic day. He reminded the community members of the sacrifices of their forefathers and stressed the importance of working with the same spirit and zeal for Pakistan.
Ambassador Rathore commended the role played by Pakistani community residing in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the development of Pakistan and serving as a bridge between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. He thanked the community members for their efforts and assured them of Embassy’s complete support in addressing any of their issues and concerns.
This was the Embassy’s first National Day public event after two years due to COVID restrictions.
