Riyadh Cricket Association delegation meet with legendary cricketer Wasim Akram.

It was indeed a proud moment for Riyadh cricket association as a 2-member delegation of Riyadh Cricket association met with legendary cricketer, the Sultan of Swing, former captain of Pakistan cricket team Wasim Akram who has recently arrived in Saudi Arabia.

The 2-member delegation consisted of Member RCA Mr. Faisal Al Shegry and RCA vice President Mr. Aashique Mughul. The delegation had a chat with the legendary cricketer and discussed the recent developments in cricket in the kingdom and the role RCA is playing in the development of cricket in Saudi Arabia. They gave a complete briefing about the structure of the Riyadh Cricket Association (RCA).

The 2-member delegation highlighted the guidance and support provided by RCA Patron Chief Prince Dr. General Abdul Aziz bin Nasir bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud. They also highlighted the outstanding efforts of Chief Executive Officer Mr. Nadeem Babar, President Mr. Tariq Javed, Senior Vice President Mr. Nasir Abbasi, Joint Secretary Mr. Ishfaq Bhatt, Media Manager Mr. Atif Amin, Umpiring coordinator Mr. Muhammad Akram, Chief Selector Mr. Sher Afgan Jadoon and other executive committee members in improving the cricket standards in Saudi Arabia.

The 2-member delegation also briefed Mr. Wasim Akram about the number of grounds in RCA Sports Complex, the academy and the RCA registered clubs. They informed Mr. Wasim Akram how passionate are the teams and players in Saudi Arabia and there is a huge scope for improvement. Speaking to the media after the meeting, Mr. Wasim Akram was highly impressed to hear about the passion for cricket in Riyadh and Saudi Arabia. He praised the role of RCA and assured his full support for the development of this great game of cricket.
