HEC Issues Instructions for Attesting Academic Documents

The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has directed students not to laminate/plastic coat their educational documents so that its stamps may be properly placed on them, and to ensure that the documents are not damaged.

It also stated: “The HEC verifies the degrees awarded by the recognized universities. As per the instructions available on our website, the applicants are required to communicate through email on an individual basis during the process of online application”.

The applicants have been directed to abide by these instructions that specify that the HEC portal is particularly for the degrees that are recognized by the Universities/Degree Awarding Institutes (DAIs) of Pakistan. Any degree issued by foreign Universities/Degree Awarding Institutions (DAIs) is not attested by the HEC. Furthermore, it was explained that the HEC gives equivalence letters against foreign degrees and that the equivalence certificates are attested by the HEC through its web portal.
