When the national coach wore a Pakistan cricket cap at the Hockey Asia Cup 2022, it generated a debate over the country’s neglect of its native sport. The fact that Siegfried Aikman is wearing a cap with the Pakistan Hockey Federation’s insignia has raised issues regarding the organization’s management (PHF).
The national team’s coach, Siegfried Aikman, was seen on tape wearing the national cricket team’s cap during the ongoing Hockey Asia Cup in Indonesia. Any participant or official who wears the logo of another sport violates the sport’s basic regulations.
The incident indicates that hockey is such a minor sport in Pakistan that the national team does not even have its own official cap.
