PPDCA President Imran Balwani Vows to Advance Mission of Association.

KARACHI (Sports Reporter) — Imran Balwani, the newly appointed President of the Pakistan Physical Disability Cricket Association (PPDCA), has committed to leveraging all available resources to advance the association’s mission. In a recent meeting with media representatives held at the PPDCA office, Balwani, accompanied by General Secretary Amiruddin Ansari and Media Manager Muhammad Nizam, outlined his vision for the association’s future.

Balwani emphasized the importance of utilizing the PPDCA’s resources effectively to support and develop cricket for players with physical disabilities. His remarks were met with enthusiasm from the gathered media, highlighting a renewed focus and dedication under his leadership.

General Secretary Amiruddin Ansari provided further details on the association’s upcoming plans, notably the participation in the Physical Disability World Cup scheduled to be held in India in December. Ansari also mentioned other international series that are being planned to enhance the visibility and competitiveness of the PPDCA on a global stage.

Ansari elaborated on the introduction of Grade 1 and Grade 2 cricket championships under the PPDCA. The Grade 1 stage has successfully concluded in Karachi, Lahore, and Multan, showcasing impressive talent and competitive spirit. The Grade 2 Cricket Championship is set to commence on Monday in Quetta with a match between Larkana and Quetta Bolan. Subsequent matches will take place in Sialkot and Faisalabad, culminating in a final to be held in Karachi.

The PPDCA’s efforts to promote and organize structured competitions are part of a broader strategy to provide opportunities and recognition for physically disabled cricketers across Pakistan. Under Balwani’s leadership, the association aims to strengthen its programs and expand its reach, ensuring that players have the support and platforms they need to excel.
