SAMACOM Clinches Victory Over MRSOOL in Thrilling RCA 100 Ball Cricket Tournament Match

by: TN Media News:
RCA Alkharj Leauge – SAMACOM CC continued their impressive run in the RCA 100 Ball Cricket Tournament, securing a dramatic five-wicket victory over previously unbeaten MRSOOL. The match at RCA Ground 5 saw both teams battling fiercely, with SAMACOM chasing down MRSOOL’s total of 179/5 in 95 balls.

The star of the show was Muhammad Hasham, who earned the Man of the Match award for his unbeaten 53 off 29 balls. Hasham’s calm and composed innings came at a crucial time, guiding SAMACOM to victory after early setbacks.

MRSOOL’s innings was anchored by Hisham Shaikh, who scored an unbeaten 62 off 35 balls. His efforts were supported by Muhammad Amjad (30 off 17) and Mudassar Iqbal (26 off 15). Despite their contributions, MRSOOL’s total of 179 seemed competitive but ultimately insufficient. Mohammed Atiq Ghulam was the standout bowler for SAMACOM, taking 2/27 and helping restrict MRSOOL.

SAMACOM’s chase got off to a rocky start, with star batter Abdulwaheed falling early for 34 off 17 balls. Despite his aggressive innings, which included four sixes and two boundaries, SAMACOM found themselves at 65/3 in seven overs. The pressure mounted as they lost Zohaib in the tenth over, but Muzaffar Majeed and Muhammad Hasham steadied the ship.

Muzaffar, battling abdominal pain, played a crucial role with his 55 off 24 balls, launching an attack on the MRSOOL bowlers to bring SAMACOM back into contention. His partnership of 60 runs with Hasham for the fifth wicket in just 34 balls was instrumental in the chase. When Muzaffar was dismissed by Mohammed Saud, Hasham took charge, accelerating the scoring rate and ensuring SAMACOM crossed the finish line.

MRSOOL’s bowlers made life difficult for SAMACOM early on, with Nabeel striking to dismiss Abdulwaheed and Mohammed Saud taking crucial wickets. However, Hasham’s resilience and exceptional running between the wickets, along with Shahzaib’s support, turned the tide in SAMACOM’s favor. Hasham’s onslaught in the seventeenth and eighteenth overs, which yielded 27 runs, sealed the victory for SAMACOM.

In the powerplay, SAMACOM’s bowlers also had their moments. Shahzaib claimed the prized wicket of Najeeb early, while Asif Butt and Mohammed Atiq Ghulam picked up key wickets to keep MRSOOL in check. Ramazan Butt’s crucial wicket of Bilal Helal in the sixteenth over further dented MRSOOL’s progress.

Despite Hisham Shaikh’s unbeaten 62 and Syed Muthahir’s quickfire 20 off 9 balls, MRSOOL fell short. SAMACOM’s disciplined bowling and Hasham’s match-winning performance ensured a memorable win.
