60th Defense Day Celebrated at the Pakistani Consulate in Jeddah.

Honoring Pakistan’s Brave Heroes

JEDDAH: The Consulate General of Pakistan in Jeddah hosted a grand event to commemorate the 60th Defense Day of Pakistan. The ceremony began with a recitation of the Holy Qur’an followed by the national anthems of Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.

The event brought together the Pakistani community to pay tribute to the courage and sacrifices of the nation’s armed forces, especially during the historic 1965 war.

Key Highlights and Speeches

Consul General Khalid Majid addressed the audience, honoring the brave soldiers and their families. He praised the valour of the Pakistani Armed Forces in defending the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. He also reminded attendees that this year’s Defense Day comes amid devastating floods, urging unity and support for affected communities.

The Special Guest, Masood Puri, Chairman of the Kashmir Committee Jeddah, highlighted the Armed Forces’ historic successes, including their role during Marka-e-Haq – Buyaan-ul-Marsoos. He encouraged the Pakistani community to actively contribute to relief efforts during the ongoing natural calamities.

Youthful Patriotism on Display

Students from Pakistan International Schools delivered heartfelt speeches, showcasing national pride and gratitude for the sacrifices of Pakistani soldiers. They vowed to continue the legacy of courage, dedication, and patriotism in defending Pakistan’s sovereignty and integrity.

The ceremony concluded with collective prayers for the martyrs of Pakistan, Kashmir, and Palestine, and for the wellbeing of the Islamic Ummah, leaving a lasting impression of unity, patriotism, and community solidarity.
