RIYADH: A gala dinner was hosted in honour of Mirza Altaf, President of Pakistan Muslim League (N) Saudi Arabia, who was here to perform Umrah and to receive Premier Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, on his visit to Saudi Arabia, recently.
Sardar Shoaib, the senior executive member of PML (N), hosted the special dinner in which a large number of PML (N) leaders including PML-N Riyadh Region President Rana Khalid and PML-N Youth Wing Saudi Arabia, Raja Yaqub and other officials attended.
The speakers highlighted the problems facing the Pakistani community in Saudi Arabia and the steps taken to address them.
Though the Pakistani community lives in the Kingdom in peace and harmony and doesn’t feel living in another country as it is like their second home, occupied by some job-related, education or other issues.
“The government of Pakistan has taken many steps to figure out the issues and promised to solve issues on top priority but we request the government of Premier Shahbaz Sharif to take further care of the problems the community is facing including apprehension in petty crimes, iqama violations; runaway from sponsors or non-payment of medical bills.
We request early possible solution of the issues so that the community could get a sigh of relief,” said Rana Khalid Speaking to audiences, PML-N President Mirza Altaf has promised that the Pakistani community will get good news within days and in order to solve the problems of the community as a matter of urgency, Mian Nawaz Sharif and Mian Shahbaz Sharif have ordered the concerned ministries that Overseas Pakistanis are the assets of Pakistan.
Resolving their problems on a priority basis is the first responsibility. A large number of Pakistanis in Saudi Arabia providing their services in all fields as well as the business community is sharing the burden to stabilize Pakistan’s economy, Mirza Altaf added: “Saudi Arabia has always contributed to Pakistan’s economy, stability and the well-being of its people.
Kingdom created space for the business community to run their business and earn the fruition of a business-friendly atmosphere. The government of Pakistan finding out more ways to facilitate businessmen from both sides to further bonding economic ties between the two brotherly nations.”
The host of the program Sardar Shoaib thanked all the guests and participants to make the event more lively and successful.
