MDLBEAST launched Balad Beast 2025 on Thursday, January 30th, transforming the historic streets of Al Balad, Jeddah’s UNESCO World Heritage Site, into a vibrant hub of music, art, and culture. The festival’s opening day fused traditional charm with global beats, setting the stage for an unforgettable musical celebration.
A Spectacular Start with Global and Local Artists:
Multiple stages came alive with performances by both local and international stars. On the “Bab” stage, Lil Eazy, a Saudi-born artist, energized the crowd with hip-hop and R&B, while Michael Kiwanuka delivered soulful melodies. Rap icon 21 Savage delivered a high-energy set, and Egypt’s Disco Misr brought retro-futuristic Arabic disco vibes.
Electronic music fans flocked to the “Omda” stage, where Argy, Korolova, and Dish Dash kept the crowd dancing with deep house and techno sets.
Meanwhile, the “Roshan” stage hosted high-octane performances from Gooner and Majid, while the “Souq” stage featured eclectic sounds by Black Loops, Biirdperson, and Hamdi Ryder, creating a rich and diverse musical landscape.
