Jeddah, Saudi Arabia – MDLBEAST, the leading Saudi music entertainment company, launched Balad Beast 2025 on Thursday, January 30th, transforming the historic streets of Jeddah’s UNESCO World Heritage Site, Al Balad, into a vibrant celebration of culture and music. The festival seamlessly blends rich traditions with contemporary global sounds, featuring mesmerizing light projections and immersive artistic experiences in the heart of Al Balad, one of the Kingdom’s most iconic and historic areas.
Day One of the festival set the tone with electrifying performances across multiple stages, highlighting both local and international talent. The “Bab” stage was energized by Saudi-born artist Lil Eazy, who brought a dynamic mix of hip-hop and R&B, while British soul sensation Michael Kiwanuka captivated the crowd with his soulful performance. International rap star 21 Savage took the stage by storm, delivering an unforgettable set of high-energy moments. Meanwhile, Egypt’s Disco Misr infused the festival with their retro-futuristic disco-funk reinterpretations of Arabic classics.
Electronic music fans were treated to powerhouse sets at the “Omda” stage, where Argy delivered his signature hypnotic beats, and Korolova and Dish Dash brought their renowned house and techno rhythms, keeping the crowd immersed in a vibrant atmosphere.
The “Roshan” stage also saw dynamic performances, featuring the high-energy sounds of Gooner and Majid, whose electrifying sets kept the energy flowing throughout the day. At the same time, the “Souq” stage offered an exciting mix of artists, including Black Loops, Biirdperson, and Hamdi Ryder, enhancing the diverse musical atmosphere that defines Balad Beast.
As the music reverberated through the streets of Jeddah, the historic buildings of Al Balad were illuminated by stunning light projections, creating an enchanting visual experience. The “Beast Baqala” pop-up shop provided exclusive Balad Beast merchandise, including items inspired by Al Balad’s iconic Roshan windows and the highly anticipated Since 2087 x Hadeed jerseys, celebrating Jeddah’s football culture.
