Recently-retired Pakistan all-rounder Imad Wasim is set to grace Melbourne Stars in the upcoming Big Bash League (BBL) 13, donning the Stars’ jersey for matches post-Christmas. Having previously played for Melbourne Renegades in the BBL, Imad will join fellow countrymen Usama Mir and Haris Rauf at the Stars.
Melbourne Stars General Manager, Blair Crouch, expressed excitement about Imad’s inclusion, noting his left-arm spin skills and ability to contribute to the batting lineup. Crouch stated, “I’m really looking forward to seeing lots of Pakistan fans in the crowd at the MCG with Imad joining his former national teammates, Usama Mir, and Haris Rauf.”
The 34-year-old Imad Wasim, who represented Pakistan in 55 ODIs and 66 T20Is, brings a wealth of experience with 109 wickets and 1,472 runs in his international career. The Stars’ squad for BBL 13 also features notable players like Liam Dawson, Glenn Maxwell, and Marcus Stoinis.
