Opting to bat after winning the toss, Oman put up a formidable total of 249/5, with Nitish Nadendla’s explosive 50 off 34 balls being the standout performance. Saumya Sampat’s all-round show, including a crucial 48 with the bat and three wickets with the ball, earned him the Player of the Match award.
In reply, Hong Kong, China faced a daunting task and struggled to keep up with the required run rate. Despite Matthew Clayton’s resilient 50, Hong Kong, China fell short and were bowled out for 149.
