On Friday, January 31st, the Pakistani community in Al Khobar and Dammam participated in a diabetes awareness session organized by The Diabetes Center (TDC), Pakistan’s largest specialized diabetes hospital. The session aimed to educate attendees on diabetes prevention, management, and latest treatment advances.
Leadership from Abu Dhabi Shares Key Insights:
TDC directors Mr. Ehtesham Uddin and Mr. Mahmood Moosa traveled from Abu Dhabi to lead the session. They shared valuable insights on diabetes care, current awareness initiatives, and the hospital’s services. TDC currently operates in Islamabad, Lahore, Karachi, Sahiwal, and Rawalakot (Kashmir).
Focus on Expansion and Community Engagement:
Community members showed strong interest in TDC’s Type 1 Blue Lili Clinic and “Hospital on Wheels” programs. The upcoming Karachi project, already constructed, drew significant attention. The hospital’s Phase 1 clinics are expected to begin operations between March and June 2025.
Strong Turnout of Pakistani Leaders:
The event drew a large number of social and business leaders, along with representatives from the Embassy of Pakistan, including Raza Saghir, Raja Imran, and Wajid Azeem Shaikh. Other notable attendees included Mr. Yaqoob Saifi (Pakistan Forum), Chaudhry Faisal, Abdul Saboor Qureshi, and Faraz Haider Memon, among others.
