Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia – On Friday, January 31st, prominent members of the Pakistani community in Al Khobar and Dammam participated in an informative diabetes awareness session organized by Pakistan’s largest diabetes hospital, The Diabetes Center (TDC). The aim of the event was to educate attendees on diabetes prevention, management, and the latest advancements in treatment.
Two directors from the hospital, Mr. Ehtesham Uddin and Mr. Mahmood Moosa, traveled from Abu Dhabi, UAE, to attend the event. They provided the community with valuable information on diabetes and covered various aspects of the disease, including awareness campaigns and the hospital’s ongoing projects and services. TDC’s hospitals are operational in Islamabad, Lahore, Karachi, Sahiwal, and Kashmir (Rawalakot).
Participants showed particular interest in the hospital’s Type 1 Blue Lili Clinic and the “Hospital on Wheels” projects. There was also a strong call to action for the upcoming Karachi project, which garnered significant attention and support from the community. The TDC Karachi hospital has been constructed, and its first phase, which includes setting up initial clinics, is expected to start operations between March and June 2025.
Prominent figures from the Pakistani community, including representatives from the Embassy of Pakistan,, embassy representatives Raza Saghir, Raja Imran, Wajid Azeem Shaikh, Mr. Yaqoob Saifi from Pakistan Forum and other well-known social and business figures such as Chaudhry Faisal, Abdul Saboor Qureshi, Sardar Naeem Ahmed, Muhammad Arshad, Faraz Haider Memon, Muhammad Amjad Shami, Ghulam Mustafa Khan, Chaudhry Safdar, Sardar Ghulam Mustafa Khan, Munsah Tahir, Syed Muzammil Shah, Farooq Haider, and representatives from Pakistani media, also attended the event.
The participants expressed their gratitude to the organizers and guests for hosting such an informative and well-organized event, and they pledged their support for continuing this noble cause in the future.
