Niamey, Niger – June 15, 2024 – The Embassy of Pakistan in Niger held a special ceremony at Pakistan House in Niamey to honor the top non-governmental organizations (NGOs) contributing to humanitarian efforts across the country. The event was led by H.E. Mr. Ahmed Ali Sirohey, Pakistan’s Ambassador to Niger, and highlighted the shared commitment to serving vulnerable communities.
Recognizing Dedication to Humanitarian Work:
The ceremony welcomed distinguished guests, including Niger’s Minister of Tourism and Culture, H.E. Muhammad Hamid, who served as the guest of honor. The event began with a recitation from the Holy Quran, followed by the national anthems of both Pakistan and Niger—setting a solemn and respectful tone.
In partnership with local departments, the embassy conducted a comprehensive review of 30 NGOs. The evaluation focused on impact, efficiency, and commitment to humanitarian causes. Among the top-performing organizations, Muslim Hands Niger stood out for its exceptional service.
Awards of Excellence Presented:
To celebrate these achievements, selected organizations received an Award of Excellence. The awards were jointly presented by Minister Hamid and Ambassador Sirohey, symbolizing the strong collaboration between Pakistan and Niger.
