Rawalpindi PD Secures Commanding Victory in SAF National Physical Disability T20 Cricket Championship (Grade 2).

Azad Kashmir falls short by 155 runs; Muhammad Arsalan’s unbeaten 168 steals the show.

Karachi/Rawalpindi (Sports Reporter) – The Rawalpindi Physical Disability Team triumphed in their fourth match of the Shahid Afridi Foundation (SAF) National Physical Disability T20 Cricket Championship (Grade 2), thanks to a record-breaking unbeaten innings of 168 runs by Muhammad Arsalan. The match, held in collaboration with the Pakistan Physical Disability Cricket Association at the Army Cricket Ground in Rawalpindi, saw Azad Kashmir PD suffer a heavy defeat by 155 runs.

Rawalpindi PD batted first and posted a towering score of 260 for 3 in their allotted 20 overs. Muhammad Arsalan’s explosive knock came off just 70 balls, featuring 28 fours and 5 sixes. Hudifah Khan provided strong support, contributing 40 runs off 24 balls with 7 fours and a six. On the bowling side, Azad Kashmir’s Shaukat Ali took 2 wickets for 36 runs, while Muhammad Kamran claimed 1 wicket.

In response, Azad Kashmir PD struggled to chase the massive target and managed only 105 runs for 7 wickets. Javed Hussain top-scored with 38 not out off 46 balls, hitting 5 fours, while Mohammad Imtiaz added 22 not out, including 4 boundaries. For Rawalpindi PD, Muhammad Asim delivered an outstanding bowling performance, taking 3 wickets for 24 runs. Bilal Azeem and Qayyum Khan also contributed with 2 wickets each.

At the post-match ceremony, Ghulam Mustafa, President of Greenland Cricket Club, and Karachi Kings player Zeesha Malik honored Rawalpindi PD’s Muhammad Arsalan as the Player of the Match for his unbeaten 168-run innings. Regional Head Rawalpindi Syed Rafi Hashmi was also present at the occasion to celebrate the team’s success.

Rawalpindi PD’s victory strengthens their position in the tournament, showcasing remarkable talent and teamwork.
