Riyadh, Saudi Arabia: The 29th Hasan Qiraat competition, organized by the Pakistan Writers Club (PWC) and its Ladies Chapter, was held in Riyadh, featuring 23 young participants who impressed the audience with their Quran recitations.
The event drew a large crowd, including special guest Rana Muhammad Masoom, Welfare Attaché of the Pakistan Embassy, who praised the children and their families. He highlighted the competition’s role in preserving Islamic heritage and nurturing Quranic values among the youth.
PWC President Engineer Naveed-ur-Rehman underscored the importance of Quranic education. He said the event helps promote peace and prosperity by spreading the teachings of the Holy Quran.
Other dignitaries, including Zubair Bhatti and Dr. Farah Nadia, also lauded the PWC for fostering Quranic learning among young people.
Prizes were awarded to the top performers, and community leaders received gifts recognizing their support. The ceremony included prayers for departed community members, adding a solemn touch.
The competition served as a meaningful celebration of faith, culture, and community, reinforcing the Quran’s vital role in building a peaceful society.
