by: TN Media News: The seventh edition of Automechanika Riyadh, the Kingdom’s premier automotive aftermarket trade show, was officially inaugurated by Mr. Ajlan bin Saad Al-Ajlan, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors at the Riyadh Chamber. The sold-out three-day event, taking place at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Centre (RICEC) through April 30, brings together global and local automotive industry leaders to discuss key challenges and opportunities shaping the future of mobility in the region.
This year’s edition has achieved a new milestone with over 450 exhibitors from 30 countries, representing a 32% increase compared to 2024. A record number of Saudi companies are participating, reflecting the Kingdom’s growing role in the global automotive supply chain. With more than 15,000 visitors expected, the show floor has expanded from three to five halls to accommodate the surge in participation.
During the opening ceremony, Mr. Al-Ajlan toured the exhibition and met with various exhibitors. Dr. Faisal Al-Kadi, CEO of Al-Kadi Commerce & Industry and member of the Automechanika Riyadh Advisory Board, delivered a keynote speech emphasizing regional industry developments and the Kingdom’s strategic vision.
“We are proud to officially open Automechanika Riyadh 2025,” said Bilal Al Barmawi, CEO and Founder of 1st Arabia, the event’s licensee. “This platform continues to support the transformation of Saudi Arabia’s automotive aftermarket in line with Vision 2030. It is our most expansive and ambitious show to date.”
Aly Hefny, Show Manager at Messe Frankfurt Middle East, highlighted the surge in global brand participation and the emergence of Saudi innovators. “The diversity of exhibitors reflects a growing ecosystem and the Kingdom’s increasing influence in this sector,” he said.
The Automechanika Riyadh Academy, under the theme “Localisation & Aftermarket Innovation,” launched with expert sessions from industry leaders. Ulf Schulte, COO of EVIQ, addressed the rapid rollout of EV charging infrastructure, while Mohammed Alsuhaim, Managing Director of the National Automotive & Vehicles Academy (NAVA), stressed the importance of technical training in preparing the workforce of the future. A panel discussion led by Emad Daghreri (Autobia) and Alisdair Walton (Abdul Latif Jameel Enterprises) explored digital innovation and profitability in the aftermarket supply chain.
The exhibition showcases a wide spectrum of automotive product categories including Parts & Components, Electronics & Systems, Tires & Batteries, Oils & Lubricants, Accessories & Customising, Diagnostics & Repairs, Body & Paint, and Car Wash & Care, making it a one-stop hub for industry stakeholders.
Automechanika Riyadh 2025 not only cements its position as the leading aftermarket event in the Kingdom but also reinforces Saudi Arabia’s ambition to become a central player in the global automotive landscape.
