A delegation from Punjab Tourism Department visited Arfa Software Technology Park (ASTP) to hold a meeting with PITB representatives regarding the undertaking of the Virtual Tourism Project.
PITB IT-Operations Director General (DG) Faisal Yousaf and Additional Director General (ADG) Syed Qasim Afzal briefed the visiting guests on the importance of Virtual Reality (VR) in exploring the cultural and historical heritage of various tourist destinations.
The Virtual Tourism Project aims at aggregating Aerial Shots, 360-degree visuals etc. on a single platform.
Deputy Secretary (Planning) Waqar Ahmad, MIS Manager Zaid Akbar Bhutta and Punjab Tourism for Economic Growth Project (PTEGP) Project Director Muhammad Waqas Malik were also part of the Tourism Department delegation.
The visiting delegation lauded PITB for its efforts and showed keen interest in collaboration.
