Islamabad: Former member of the National Assembly of Pakistan Shandana Gulzar Khan said Chief Election Commissioner Sikandar Sultan Raja didn’t know the difference between foreign funding and prohibited funding. In an exclusive interview with Daily Parliament Times, she said that it was not Pakistan Tehreek -e-Insaf (PTI) but the coalition government parties which took foreign funding to oast Imran Khan from power.
She said that the solid evidence was presented by Fawad Chaudhary in a matter related to the prohibited funding. She demanded from the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) equally probe the funding sources of other parties.
On the question of a fake declaration of Imran Khan in ECP, she added that ECP should understand the difference between an affidavit and an oath.
She further called the government coalition a mafia and said that Imran Khan was fighting for the respect and dignity of the common Pakistanis. On the other hand, the government had decided to file a disqualification reference against PTI Chairman Imran Khan after the verdict of the prohibited funding case.
Information Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb said that the federal cabinet approved the recommendation to file a disqualification reference against the PTI chairman and ordered the money laundering inquiry into fake bank accounts used by the political party.
