Kashmir Exploitation Day observed

India can neither change the disputed status of the region nor suppress the right of self-determination of Kashmiris: Ambassador of Pakistan Khurram Rathore

RIYADH: Embassy of Pakistan organized an event “Kashmir Exploitation Day” against the atrocities of Indian government in Occupied Kashmir.
Representatives of political, social, religious organizations and a large number of women participated in the event. The participants condemn the Indian government act on August 5, 2019 when it abolished Article 380 and removed the special status of Occupied Kashmir by confining the Kashmiri people to their homes.
In the ceremony, the messages of the President of Pakistan, Prime Minister of Pakistan and Foreign Minister were read out  Addressing the ceremony, Ambassador of Pakistan Khurram Rathore said that the unilateral actions of the Indian government can neither change the disputed status of the region nor suppress the right of self-determination of Kashmiris. “We appeal to the international community and international organizations to pay attention to Indian atrocities in Jammu and Kashmir,” said the ambassador.
The Indian actions are a flagrant violation of international law UNSC resolutions and the 4th Geneva Convention, he said. The people and the government of Pakistan will continue to give full moral, political and diplomatic support to Kashmiri brethren for their right to self-determination. The people and government of Pakistan should join hands with their Kashmiri brothers and sisters to observe this date as “Kashmir Exploitation Day” to condemn the illegal annexation of Kashmir by India.
Mishaal Malik, the wife of Kashmiri leader Yassin Malik, addressed the event through Skype and informed about the situation in Kashmir. Addressing to the event, Asghar Qureshi, Sardar Razzaq and other speakers said that “We will continue our all possible support till the just solution of the disputed issue of Jammu and Kashmir.”
