PEF-GB Chapter celebrated International Women’s Day in Gilgit-Baltistan
International Women’s Day 2022 has been celebrated in Gilgit city. It was a synergized and collaborative effort of different organizations including the Pakistani Executive Forum-GB chapter.
The other partner organizations were Soni Jawari Center for Public Policy SJCPP, Aga Khan Rural Support Programme – AKRSP Pakistan, SDG Unit-P-UNDP Planning & Development Department GB, National Commission on the Status of Women, Islamabad, UN Women Pakistan, Gilgit-Baltistan Rural Support Programme, and SAP.
The event was having two components, policy dialogue with different stakeholders and Entrepreneurs and a home-based businesses exhibition.
The event was graced by Ms. Kulsoom Farman, Legislator, Gilgit-Baltistan Assembly.
At the end of the event, a “charter of Equality” was presented to the legislator which is further shared with the Chief Minister of Gilgit-Baltistan Khalid Khurshid Khan for further consideration.
Optimistically looking forward to some progress in this regard and by next International Women’s Day, all partners including the Pakistani Executive Forum will be able to share the progress on the shared charter of Equality.
