Nawaf bin Saeed Al-Maliki, the ambassador of Saudi Arabia to Pakistan, met Dr. Umar Saif, Pakistan’s Caretaker Federal Minister for IT & Telecommunication, on Thursday.
According to the statement released by the Ministry of IT, the meeting discussed matters of mutual interest and IT and telecommunication.
The parties agreed to enhance cooperation between the two countries in the IT and Telecom sector.
In the meeting, Dr. Umar Saif said that Pakistan is keen to further expand its relations with Saudi Arabia in the telecom sector.
Saudi Arabia is an attractive market for Pakistani IT companies. Pakistani IT companies want to expand their business in Saudi Arabia. We want Pakistani IT companies to have easy access to Saudi Arabia
According to the statement, the Saudi ambassador said that Saudi Arabia will fully cooperate with Pakistan in the field of telecom sector.
More facilities and full support will be provided to Pakistani IT companies in obtaining visas. The IT Minister said that Saudi Arabia should facilitate travel and visa for Pakistani IT companies.
There is great potential in Pakistan’s IT and Telecom professionals. The investment environment in Pakistan is favorable, so Saudi tech companies should invest in Pakistan.
