Shazia Marri congratulates the newly elected body of the Karachi Union of Journalists (KUJ)
Karachi: Central Information Secretary of PPP-P and member of the National Assembly Shazia Atta Marri has congratulated the newly elected body of the Association of Electronic Media Editors and News Directors (AEMEND).
She said in her statement that PPP cordially congratulates all the newly elected members and officials of the Association of Electronic Media Editors and News Directors (AEMEND) and hoped that newly elected members of Electronic Media Editors and News Directors will work in a better way for the freedom of the press and the solution of problems being faced by media and journalists in the country.
Ms Marri said that PPP believes in the freedom of press and freedom of expression in the country and media is considered the most important and fourth pillar of the society which can play a positive role in the supremacy of democracy in the country.
Shazia Marri expressed her best wishes and felicitation to the newly elected president of the Association of Electronic Media Editors & News Directors (AEMEND) Azhar Abbas, General Secretary Hafiz Tariq Mehmood, senior president Ayaz Khan and vice president Emad Yousuf. She also congratulated to the members of the Executive committee of AEMEND including Rashid Mahmood, Zahid Mazhar, Farhan Malik and all other elected officials.
