Mr. Khalid Taimur Akram,ED, PRCCSF participated in the Seminar on “Babur: A Symbol of Shared Legacy between Pakistan & Uzbekistan” jointly organized by the Embassy of Uzbekistan, Babur Legacy Center, Department of History & Pakistan Studies, University of the Punjab Lahore.
On 20th January 2023, Mr. Khalid Taimur Akram, Executive Director, PRCCSF participated in the Seminar on “Babur: A Symbol of Shared Legacy between Pakistan & Uzbekistan” jointly organized by the Embassy of Uzbekistan to Pakistan, Babur Legacy Center, Department of History & Pakistan Studies, University of the Punjab Lahore at School of Biochemistry and Biotechnology, University of Punjab, Lahore.
His Excellency Aybek Arif Usmanov, Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Pakistan and Chief Guest of the ceremony highlighted that Babur laid the foundation of one of the world’s great empires. He stated that the legacy of Zahir-ud-Din Babur is a symbol of shared values and friendship between Uzbekistan and Pakistan.
He also said that Pakistan’s contribution is pivotal in restoring and furthering cultural and historic ties and the legacy of Babur and his ancestors is the most brilliant part of our past, present and future endeavours.
Mr. Khalid Taimur, ED, PRCCSF stated that Babur is remembered as a national hero and considered one of the great conquerors.
He discussed the significance of bilateral relations between Pakistan and Uzbekistan. He stated that Pakistan and Uzbekistan enjoy cordial relations and will collaborate in other economic and social spheres for further enhanced cooperation. He also said that the friendship and cooperation between Uzbekistan and Pakistan are getting stronger.
