Balad Beast 2024 Returns to Jeddah’s AlBalad with Star-Studded Lineup.

JEDDAH: MDLBEAST, Saudi Arabia’s leading music entertainment company, is bringing back the Balad Beast festival to Jeddah’s historic AlBalad on January 18–19, 2024.

Now in its second edition, the festival will feature over 60 artists performing across four stages, surrounded by the stunning architecture of AlBalad. Visitors can expect an unforgettable celebration of music, heritage, and art.

Big Names, Bigger Performances

This year’s lineup includes:

  • Ty Dolla $IGN,Wu-Tang Clan, Major Lazer Soundsystem, Russ, DJ Snake

These international stars will perform against a backdrop of vibrant lights and visual art, projected onto AlBalad’s historic buildings. The show will create a journey through the past, present, and future — blending history with modern creativity.

UNESCO Heritage Meets Modern Art

The festival is set in AlBalad, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Its mix of ancient heritage and contemporary installations makes Balad Beast a unique experience. Visitors can explore narrow alleyways lit up with colorful projections, creating a living canvas of Saudi culture.

To protect AlBalad’s historical buildings, MDLBEAST conducted sound tests and positioned stages to minimize sound impact.

Balad Beast is part of MDLBEAST’s signature venue events, which transform iconic locations into music stages. Previous events include:

  • Kokub in AlUla, ERGA in an abandoned Riyadh building, Tahlia at Jeddah’s desalination factory

  • Balad Social on a historic rooftop, FOWG atop KAFD in Riyadh
