Consulate General of Pakistan Jeddah Hosts Event on Qur’an, Paigham-e-Pakistan, and Youm-e-Ashura

The Consulate General of Pakistan in Jeddah hosted a significant event on July 4, 2025. The gathering highlighted the Qur’an, the message of Paigham-e-Pakistan, and the importance of Youm-e-Ashura. It was held at the site of the new chancery building in Al Rehab District, Jeddah.

Event Leadership and Key Guests

Mr. Khalid Majid, Consul General of Pakistan, presided over the event. The chief guest was Qari Syed Sadaqat Ali, a renowned Qur’an reciter and a source of pride for Pakistan. His outstanding achievements in Qur’anic recitation earned him respect across the Muslim world.

Spiritual Reflections on the Qur’an

The program opened with a soul-stirring recitation by Qari Syed Sadaqat Ali. His voice captivated the audience. In his speech, he described the Qur’an as the foundational guide for individuals and nations alike. He emphasized that Pakistan’s ideological roots are deeply connected with the teachings of the Qur’an.

Significance of Youm-e-Ashura

Qari Sadaqat Ali highlighted the importance of Youm-e-Ashura. He reminded the audience of the values of sacrifice, patience, and standing up for truth. These virtues were exemplified by Imam Hussain (RA) and his companions at Karbala, whose legacy continues to inspire millions.

Community Participation and Prayers

The event was well-attended by members of the Pakistani community in Jeddah. Consulate officials, religious leaders, and scholars also took part. The session ended with a collective prayer for the unity of the Muslim Ummah. Prayers were made for peace and prosperity in Pakistan and freedom for oppressed Muslim nations, including Palestine and Kashmir. Additionally, prayers were offered for the good health of the Consul General and the successful completion of the new chancery building.
