The nation is celebrating its 75th Independence Day festivities with the traditional essence and spirit of freedom. On this auspicious occasion, Pakistan Overseas Community KSA arranged a vibrant and colourful event on Friday 12th August 2022 in Dammam, to provide a festive ambience for the Pakistani ex-pat community. The colourful event was attended by a large number of Pakistani communities residing in Eastern Province along with some special guests joining the event from Riyadh and Jeddah as well.
The Chief Guest, Ambassador of Pakistan, H.E, Mr. Ameer Khurram Rathore graced the event with his presence, accompanied by other high officials of the Pakistan Embassy. In his speech, H.E. signified the main purpose of this gathering is to convey the ideology of Pakistan to the new generation.
The Event celebrations kicked off in the afternoon and were based on exciting and energizing activities including National songs, cultural walks by children, interactive games and several other themed segments, elegantly hosted by RJ Fawad in his unique and distinctive style.
The Main Highlight of the Event was the Pavilions displaying the rich shades of the regional culture of all the Provinces of Pakistan. It was the Main Center of Attraction for all guests and was conceived in collaboration with supporting partners. Elite Club KSA being one of the main supporting partners, elegantly decorated and presented the Culture and Traditions of Sindh and Baluchistan provinces in their booths.
The Sindh and Baluchistan pavilions were managed by Elite Club founder, Javeria Asad with her active team members Musarat Attique, Saba Idrees, Sana Batool, Sumaira Haroon, Farheen Hamid and Shafique Imran. Traditional Sindhi cuisine was highly liked by the visitors.
The Ambassador of Pakistan also toured around the pavilions and appreciated the efforts of the organization by recording his experience in the Elite Guests book. Club male members Asad Ali Hassan, Umer Niazi, and Haroon Ahmed presented him with traditional Sindhi AJRAK, Sindhi CAP and Gratitude shield as souvenirs.
Elite kids Club conducted a comprehensive thought-provoking segment based on the quotes of Quaid-e-Azam for the young generation of Pakistan propagating the messages of education, patience, constant hard work, bravery and dignity.
Pakistan Overseas Community President, Mr. Jawad Ali regarded Saudi Arabia as a second home in his speech and being an ex-pat we have to strive for the development of Pakistan. He thanked all the guests and organizations for taking part in the event.
In the end, Acknowledgement Shields was given by Pakistan’s overseas community to all the sponsors and supporting partners. The event was concluded with the traditional cake-cutting ceremony to celebrate Pakistan’s 75th Birthday. Overall, it was a lively and enjoyable event which brought all cultural shades of Pakistan under one roof in the Kingdom.
