Embassy of Pakistan in Niger organized a Catalogue Show.

The Embassy of Pakistan in Niger organized a catalogue shown in the Embassy. Various dignitaries including Federal Ministers, Government officials, the Director General WAQF, the Business Community, youth entrepreneurs, Civil Society, representatives of NGOs, journalists and students visited the catalogue show and discover Pakistani products.

His Excellency Prof. Alkache Alhada Minister of Commerce of Niger was the guest of honour. He witnessed the catalogue show. He appreciated the proactive role of the Ambassador and the efficient efforts of the Embassy to share valuable information about Pakistani product lines through the catalogue Show. He wishes to increase trade relation

His Excellency Mr. Ahmed Ali Sirohey, Ambassador of Pakistan to Niger showed and explained to the Minister the catalogue of Pakistan products displayed in the Embassy for the occasion. The Ambassador of Pakistan briefed the Minister of Commerce about various business opportunities available in Pakistan. He informed him that bilateral trade between the two countries is low. He called upon the Minister to work diligently for the promotion of trade and commercial relations between the two countries. He also informed him that Pakistan is one of the leading exporters of rice to Niger. Other export items include garments, bed Lenin, sports goods and some pharmaceutical products.

He further informed me about the upcoming Engineering and Healthcare Exhibition to be held from 23rd to 25th February 2023 in Lahore, Pakistan. He informed him that about thirty Nigeriens Businessmen have already registered to attend this event. A video projection of the various economic sectors of Pakistan was shown to the audience. The visit ended with a decoration of his Excellency Mr. Alkache Alhada as a friend of Pakistan by the Ambassador of Pakistan in Niger.

He also received a copy of the book “Economic diplomacy” written by His Excellency Mr. Ahmed Ali Sirohey. The Director of Waqf Ms. Khadija Diallo was also invited to this ceremony. Having already experienced of the visit to Pakistan, she made a point of presenting the economic potential of Pakistan and the sector in which the two countries, Niger and Pakistan, will be able to further develop their commercial partnership. She also received a copy of the Ambassador’s book on economic diplomacy.

During his remarks, the Minister of Commerce of Niger appreciated the Embassy’s efforts to create awareness about Pakistan and its product lines. He also thanked His Excellency Ambassador of Pakistan for this great honour to decorate him with a special award of “Friend of Pakistan”. While commenting on Engineering and Health Show in February, he encouraged the Nigerien businessmen to participate and represent Niger.
