Agriculture Secretary Ahmed Aziz Tarar visited Agriculture Department’s Command and Control Center (CCC) in Lahore, established by PITB. PITB IT-Ops Joint Director Usman Waheed apprised him of the functionality of the monitoring facility including the Call Center.
He also gave a detailed briefing on the IT initiatives taken by PITB for Agriculture Department. The PITB representative also briefed the Secretary on the progress of ‘Privatization of Agriculture Extension to Enhance Service Delivery’.
Agriculture Secretary appreciated PITB’s efforts and suggested extending the ICT-based initiatives to other Agriculture wings as well.
Additional Secretary Planning Qadeer Bajwa, Special Secretary Agriculture Marketing Waqar Ahmed, DG Agriculture Extension Dr. Anjum Buttar and DGA Water Management Malik Akram were also present on the occasion.
