Karachi University advanced to the finals of the HEC-PCB Inter-University Cricket Championship 2024-25 with a record-breaking 316-run victory over Hamdard University. The match took place at Rashid Latif Academy Ground in Gulberg and was part of Zone L in the championship.
Organized by the University of Karachi, the event is officially supervised by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) and the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
Fahad Ansari’s Century Sets the Tone:
Batting first, Karachi University posted a commanding total of 385/9 in 45 overs.
Team captain and wicketkeeper-batsman Fahad Ansari led from the front, smashing 123 runs off 91 balls, with 19 fours and 1 six.

Chasing a massive target of 386 runs, Hamdard University collapsed under pressure and managed just 68 runs in 13 overs. Only two batters reached double figures: Rao Abdul Rahman (19)* and Abhijeet Kamal (10). Shockingly, five batters were dismissed without scoring.
