The Jammu and Kashmir Community Overseas (JKCO) Jeddah hosted a grand dinner in honor of Chaudhry Muhammad Yasin, President of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Azad Jammu and Kashmir. The event was held at a prominent hotel in Jeddah and attracted key political, social, and religious leaders, including Pakistan’s Consul General Khalid Majeed.
Tribute to Kashmiri Leadership
The evening began with a warm welcome from Inayatullah Khan Arif, former Advisor for Overseas Affairs and ex-President of Azad Kashmir. The program was chaired by Khurshid Ahmed Matyal, former JKCO Chairman, who praised Chaudhry Yasin’s steadfast commitment to Kashmir’s right to self-determination.
Global Advocacy for Kashmir
Chaudhry Yasin shared insights from his recent visit to the United States, where he engaged with representatives from 140 countries. He highlighted efforts to raise global awareness of the Kashmir issue. He also commended the courage of Kashmiris resisting Indian military oppression. Yasin stressed that Kashmir remains a central issue in Pakistan’s foreign policy and that lasting peace depends on a just resolution.
Pakistan’s Continued Support
Consul General Khalid Majeed reaffirmed Pakistan’s political, diplomatic, and moral backing for Kashmir. He emphasized Pakistan’s role in exposing human rights violations and advocating for Kashmir on international platforms.
Voices of Solidarity
Other speakers, including Sardar Inayatullah Arif and Chaudhry Khurshid Ahmed Matyal, praised the sacrifices of Kashmiris and Chaudhry Yasin’s dedication. Sardar Mehtab and Chaudhry Tasawar Hussain, President of PPP Saudi Arabia, pledged unwavering support for the Kashmiri cause.
