Grand Dinner in Jeddah Honors Chaudhry Muhammad Yasin.

Report by: Noorulhassan Gujjar: Jeddah: Jammu and Kashmir Community Overseas (JKCO) Jeddah organized a prestigious dinner in honor of Chaudhry Muhammad Yasin, President of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Azad Jammu and Kashmir. The event was held at a renowned hotel in Jeddah, attended by notable political, social, and religious figures from Pakistan and Kashmir, including Pakistan’s Consul General, Khalid Majeed.

The evening was hosted by Inayatullah Khan Arif, former Advisor for Overseas Affairs and President of Azad Kashmir, who warmly welcomed the distinguished guests. Former JKCO Chairman Khurshid Ahmed Matyal presided over the event, praising Chaudhry Muhammad Yasin for his tireless efforts in advocating for the self-determination of the Kashmiri people.

During his address, Chaudhry Yasin shared insights from his recent visit to the United States, where he participated in discussions with representatives from 140 countries. He highlighted his work in raising the Kashmir issue on the international stage, emphasizing the bravery of the Kashmiri people in the face of Indian military oppression. Yasin reaffirmed that Kashmir remains a central focus of Pakistan’s foreign policy, stressing that lasting peace in the region is unattainable without resolving the Kashmir dispute.

Pakistan’s Consul General, Khalid Majeed, reiterated Pakistan’s unwavering political, diplomatic, and moral support for the Kashmiri people. He assured the gathering that Pakistan would continue to raise the Kashmir issue on international forums and expose India’s human rights violations in the region.

Several other dignitaries also addressed the event. Sardar Inayatullah Arif spoke of the sacrifices made by the Kashmiri people, while Chaudhry Khurshid Ahmed Matyal congratulated Chaudhry Muhammad Yasin on his recent Umrah, attributing his success to his dedication. Sardar Mehtab reaffirmed his commitment to the Kashmir cause, and Chaudhry Tasawar Hussain, President of PPP Saudi Arabia, expressed Pakistan’s steadfast support for Kashmir’s freedom.

The event concluded with prayers and a lavish dinner, with all attendees reaffirming their solidarity with the Kashmiri people. Raja Shamroz Khan conducted the proceedings, making the evening a memorable tribute to Chaudhry Muhammad Yasin and a reaffirmation of Pakistan’s support for the rights of Kashmiris.
