Celebration of Excellence and Values at Pakistan International School:
Pakistan International School (English Section), Riyadh, hosted a grand ceremony to recognize students and teachers for their international academic achievements. The event also honored the legacy of late teacher Naeem Akhtar, highlighting the importance of moral values, compassion, and positive thinking.
Held at the school campus, the ceremony brought together students, parents, teachers, and notable guests.
Dignitaries Grace the Occasion:
Begum Ayesha Ahmed, wife of Pakistan’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, H.E. Ahmed Farooq, attended as the chief guest. Also present were Mr. Fakhar Jafri, Director of Examinations at the British Council, and Mr. Kamran Asghar, Head of Business Development at the British Council.
The ceremony opened with a recitation and translation of the Holy Quran, followed by a welcome address by Principal Muhammad Tanveer.
Honoring a Beloved Educator:
Principal Tanveer praised the dedication of both students and staff. He paid heartfelt tribute to Naeem Akhtar, describing him as a guiding light and role model. A special video was played in his memory, and his family received a commemorative shield in recognition of his lasting contributions.
“Success,” said the principal, “goes beyond academic results. It includes good character, generosity, and compassion.”
Students Shine on Global Stage:
The highlight of the ceremony was the award presentation. Outstanding performers in IGCSE, AS, and A2 exams were recognized for their excellence.
