After stepping down from the captaincy, former captain Babar Azam is showcasing his batting prowess with full intensity. Recently, the talented batsman uploaded a video on his social media account, exhibiting his practice sessions ahead of the upcoming tour to Australia.
Pakistan is gearing up for the Australia tour next month, where the team, now under the leadership of the new captain, Shan Masood, will play a three-match Test series.
On Monday, Chief selector Wahab Riaz announced an 18-member Pakistan Test squad for the tour of Australia, with three matches scheduled from December 14, 2023, to January 7, 2024.
Shortly after resigning from the captaincy, the right-hand batter was seen fine-tuning his batting skills in a dedicated training session. The former skipper shared a video of his net practice on Instagram, captioned “Back in harness.”
The video garnered swift reactions from fans and pundits alike. Reacting to the video, England’s former cricketer Michael Vaughan expressed his admiration for Babar’s skills, stating, “Lots of runs Down under is my guess.”
