by: TN Media Multan, Pakistan: Multan Sultans clinched their first victory of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 10 with a convincing 33-run win over Lahore Qalandars in the 12th match of the tournament at the Multan Cricket Stadium.
Batting first, the Sultans posted an imposing total of 228/5, led by Yasir Khan, who was named Player of the Match for his explosive 87 off 44 balls, including six fours and six sixes. He shared crucial partnerships with Mohammad Rizwan (32) and Usman Khan (39), while Iftikhar Ahmed added a late flourish with a quickfire 40 off 18 balls.
In response, the Qalandars fell short despite a fighting unbeaten 50 off 27 balls from Sikandar Raza. The visitors finished on 195/9, with wickets falling at regular intervals after a promising start. Sam Billings (43) also showed resistance, but the Sultans’ bowlers, especially Ubaid Shah (3/37), kept the pressure on throughout.
Michael Bracewell and Usama Mir took two wickets each, while Josh Little and David Willey added one apiece to seal the win. The next match will see Multan Sultans take on Islamabad United, as the competition heats up in PSL 10.
