A Ceremony of Friendship and Solidarity
Jeddah: Pakistani journalists in Jeddah marked Saudi Arabia’s 95th National Day with a graceful ceremony to express solidarity with the Saudi people. A cake was cut to celebrate the occasion, and participants raised slogans of “Long Live Pakistan–Saudi Friendship.”

The event was jointly hosted by the Pak Media Journalists Forum and the Pakistan Journalists Forum. It was attended by senior journalists, office bearers, and community representatives.
Among the attendees were Ch. Noor-ul-Hasan Gujar, Jameel Rathore, Khalid Nawaz Cheema, Hafiz Irfan Khattana, Asad Akram, Hassan Butt, Ch. Maroof Hussain, Saqib Ehsan Mufil, Ayesha Naz, Maryam Shahid, and other respected journalists.
Strengthening Bilateral Relations
Speakers highlighted the unique bond between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, describing it as “higher than the Himalayas and deeper than the oceans.” They noted that the recent defense agreement between the two brotherly countries was a clear sign of ever-growing ties. Warm congratulations were extended to the Saudi leadership and people on their National Day.
Gratitude to Saudi Leadership
Participants expressed special thanks to King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. They acknowledged their leadership in offering respectable employment opportunities to thousands of Pakistanis living in the Kingdom.
Prayers for Prosperity and Unity
The ceremony concluded with prayers for the peace, security, and prosperity of both Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. Attendees reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bonds between the two nations through journalism, community service, and cultural engagement.
